Funk!

Darrin has rediscovered Funk! (P-Funk!Parliament's Flashlight was a favorite back in the day, and I have slowly wound my way back to discovering George Clinton's Mothership. Well allright!

Now November

Just saw The Prestige with Susy the other day.  By the same guys that did Momento.  We Loved it, but we don't get out much.  Yes, our last date was V for Vendetta.  The earlier post on that went missing.

Hello from May

Dave and Susan loaned us The Lord of the Rings, which Mali finally decided she liked, except for a couple really scary parts.  Then we went directly into our Red Dwarf videos, which Andrew was against, but now appreciates.  It must be an acquired taste.

Adults saw and loved The Man Who Copied, on video at PabloRocio's.  I found it got deeper than I expected.  Susy and I had a date and got to see V for Vendetta.  We both liked it - the date and the movie.

I just finished reading The Algebraist, by Iain Banks.  Awesome.

And I'm listening to (and loving) The Shins.

No posts in almost two months!  What's wrong with me?  Oh yeah, this is my *secret* identity.

Wouldn't that be something, if Clark Kent got really busy with deadlines and all, and so Superman just disappeared for two months?

I guess the analogy goes the other way: Superman gets busy, and so Clark Kent disappears.  Then he returns and tells his boss, "Um, sorry, I was kidnapped" or something.

So:  This is Clark Kent.  But I am Superman.  I am Superman, and I can do anything.

Rapid Eye Movement, R.E.M., The Dreaming, Morpheus, Neil Gaiman. Superman says:

Clock ticks watch and wait for tocks to bounce across the hollowed walls,

while sunbeams beat against the world and darkness slowly falls.

or maybe (edit Thursday 9Jan6)

ClockTicks

wait for tocks:

backbounce, hip hop, hollow walls.

Starlight beats on spinning rocks.

Darkness falls,

darkness falls.

Movie season!  We saw Harry Potter last weekend, Narnia on Friday.  Last night I finally watched Revenge of the Sith.  Maybe next I'll finally catch up on the LotRs movies.

Reading: The Golden Age, by John C. Wright.  Great book - set 10,000 years in the future, post transcendence.
